Chapman Christmas Party

December 27th we traveled to Englewood for the Chapman family Christmas party. Christy and Stephen were both home from out of state.

This year we tried a couple of new "events". First, four people formed a square using chairs for support (below) and balanced on another person's legs. Then, all the chairs were pulled out so that they were all balancing on each other! This was the first group. The second group was Barb, Carrie, Sarah and Christy.

The men took part in a cookie contest - they had to start with the cookie on their forehead and move it to their mouth without any hands.

Also, on Sunday, December 28th was Barb's 71st birthday!! We celebrated with red velvet cake truffles. Somehow I missed getting a photo.

Chapman Family Christmas 2013

Our last Christmas party of the year was spent in Englewood on December 28 for our Chapman families. That day also happens to be Mom's (Barb's) birthday!  Dad's birthday is also in December, so we celebrated Christmas and their birthdays all in the same day.

I wasn't going to post this one, but I couldn't resist!

After the Christmas gifts were opened, we moved on to the birthday celebration for Mom & Dad.

We also attempted to get a photo of all the grandkids, since they are all rarely in the same place at the same time. It turned out pretty well, except for Parker who doesn't like to be in group photos.

Christmas Party #3

Our final Christmas party this year was at the Chapman's in Englewood on December 29th. Christy and Stephen came into town, so the only people missing this year were Katie and Travis because they just moved to Florida. It was another fun day of food, games and presents!

Going Away Party

In October we went to a Going Away Party for our niece Katie and her husband, Travis. They are moving to Fort Meyers, Florida while Katie goes to school to become a nurse anesthetist. They'll be there for just over 2 years. Their going away party was also a costume party, and a good opportunity to get some family photos:
