Parker's 23-Month Snapshot

Well it's only 4 days until Parker's 2nd birthday, so I should post his 23-month photo!

He's really into watching Baby Einstein movies and The Wiggles. Although he still doesn't say many words clearly, we have figured out a few more words, like "airplane", "Isabelle", "movie" and "Wiggles". He wears size 2 clothing, size 6 shoes (toddler) and size 4 diapers. He is pulling me away as I type this, so I'll leave it at that!

Loves his Elmo socks!

Football Cheerleading Comes to an End

Yesterday was Isabelle's last event for Upward football this year. An awards celebration took place at the First Baptist Church where all the games were held. All of the football players and cheerleaders were announced as they ran onto the stage.

Each cheer squad (there were three) went up on stage and performed a cheer and a dance.

You may notice some of the girls are not in cheerleading uniforms. They had the option to dress up in costumes since it's so close to Halloween. The celebration continued with a "Deal or No Deal" type of game that kids and people in the audience could play.

For their last practice, each girl was given an award certificate from their coach. Here's Isabelle's certificate:

"Most Confident"

Next up... Upward Basketball Cheerleading!

Isabelle in the Newspaper

Isabelle made it into the local Grove City Messenger newspaper this week! When we were at the Arts in the Alley event, a photographer for the paper took Isabelle's photo! I posted about the Arts in the Alley here (which also has a photo of her with this horse).

Balloons and Tunes

Another event during the summer in Grove City is Balloons and Tunes. It's held at Beulah Park and is full of music, food, kids inflatables and hot air balloons. Usually we stay at home and see the hot air balloons near our house, but this year we actually went to the event grounds for the first time. It was a little too windy for many balloons to lift off, but we did see three or so go up in the air.
