Seth Turns 9!

10 days after Christmas, we celebrate Seth's birthday! Before winter break, we sent invitations to every student in Seth's class (22 in all). Seth's party was scheduled for Jan. 3, which was 2 days before returning back to school. We think many kids and parents forgot about it, because only 1 friend came to Seth's party. Seth didn't seem to mind, though! He and Wyatt actually had a really good time!

Parker, Seth and Isabelle posed for some photos before Wyatt arrived:

We had a Spiderman pinata full of candy in the basement. He was really hard to defeat!

On January 4, Seth's actual birthday, we had Diane, Clyde, Steve W. and Jacob over for snacks, cake and ice cream.

The kids posed for photos again:

Chapman Christmas Party

December 27th we traveled to Englewood for the Chapman family Christmas party. Christy and Stephen were both home from out of state.

Lori, Connor and Jon

Parker covered Grandpa in bows

This year we tried a couple of new "events". First, four people formed a square using chairs for support (below) and balanced on another person's legs. Then, all the chairs were pulled out so that they were all balancing on each other! This was the first group. The second group was Barb, Carrie, Sarah and Christy.
Getting setup with the chairs

The men took part in a cookie contest - they had to start with the cookie on their forehead and move it to their mouth without any hands.

Also, on Sunday, December 28th was Barb's 71st birthday!! We celebrated with red velvet cake truffles. Somehow I missed getting a photo.

Campbell Christmas

Last weekend we spent the day in Nelsonville celebrating Christmas with Clyde, Diane, Lance, Cathy, Steve, Jessica, Jennifer and Jacob. And this year we had surprise visitors from Tennessee - Cliff and Colton!

We played the annual Bingo game for lots of fun prizes. Seth and Parker helped Grandma call the letters/numbers.

Jacob wrote a Christmas play about the birth of Jesus.

We all had a great time with fun, food and family!

Christmas Day 2014

Christmas Eve we made chocolate chip cookies for Santa and left him chocolate milk, grapes and carrots for the reindeer, and spread reindeer oats that Parker put together at pre-school on the front lawn.

Also on Christmas Eve, we made 3 houses out of foam craft.

We all woke up at 8:00 AM on Christmas morning. The kids went downstairs to find all of their presents from Santa under the tree!

Olafs for everyone!

In the afternoon, we got together with all these great people at Cathy and Steve's house:

Merry Christmas!

The boys got balloon swords at a Christmas event at the new Grove City Mount Carmel
Also at Mount Carmel, Isabelle and Seth got a photo with Santa. Parker would not cooperate.

Elfie, our Elf on the Shelf, came to our house the day after we put up the Christmas tree. He was a good little Elf this year and the kids had fun finding him each morning after they woke up.
