Finally, we had perfect weather for trick-or-treating! We all went around our neighborhood together, where the majority of houses handed out candy.

Jacquemin Farms
This post is a little late... it's about our Halloween pumpkins.
This year we ventured to a new pumpkin patch, Jacquemin Farms. It is located in Dublin, about a half an hour from our house. They had inflatables for kids to play in and a hay maze that Parker particularly liked. They also had an assortment of pumpkins to choose from or a hay ride to go to a field and pick your own. We actually did neither due to the line to buy pumpkins, but instead went to Strader's to pick out our pumpkins.
Seth, Isabelle, Shane and Parker rode these racing bikes. They tell me they were difficult to pedal.

Halloween
Halloween this year was mighty frightening! That's because of the weather! With Hurricane Sandy bringing us cold, wet and even snowy conditions, it was a very cold trick-or-treat night. The kids were still excited, though. Isabelle dressed as a criminal, Seth as a wereworf, and Parker as a train conductor. Parker's costume actually has a matching hat and a red bandana, which he would not wear. So basically he just looked like a bundled up boy in a wagon! He spent the entire walk in the wagon, enjoying some dum-dums. Our friend Emma also joined us. She was dressed as an Olympic gold medalist.
This is a photo of Parker from last weekend where you can see his costume (we went to a going-away party / costume party for Katie and Travis).
We saw a really cute idea and thought we should have done something like that with Parker's wagon. It was a little girl who is in a wheelchair dressed as a firefighter, and her wheelchair was outfitted as a fire engine. So cool!
While getting ready for the night, Seth wanted some photos with the fake moustaches. He wanted to look serious in the photos.
Then I got him to smile...
Seth, Parker and I made it around the neighborhood in about 45 minutes, skipping houses on the way home just so we could get inside and warm. Isabelle, Emma and Shane powered through and made it to every house.
Happy Halloween!!

More Halloween Fun
We baked and decorated Halloween cookies. The baking was on Oct. 31 but the icing wasn't until Nov. 1, so we were a little late to actually have them on Halloween. Seth and Isabelle helped roll out the dough and then they cut out all the cookies.
Parker had some snacks and supervised!
Here are the finished cookies! Ghosts, witches, broomsticks, moons, tombstones, cauldrons, pumpkins, leaves, cats and bats!
Seth wanted a picture of his favorite cookie, candy corn.
This is a house decorated by Isabelle.

Seth tried on his lion costume that he wore for his first Halloween.
Isabelle and Seth spent the weekend before Halloween at Grandma Diane's and Grandpa Clyde's house. They got to go to Logan's Halloween Parade and trick or treat. Isabelle won 2nd place for prettiest costume and had her photo in the Logan Daily News!
Winners in the Prettiest 5-10 year category (from left) are: Gracie Dye (first place), Isabelle Campbell (second) and Adrian McGlothlin (third).

Trick or Treat
Trick or Treat was a success! We hit most of the houses in our neighborhood and ended up with a lot of candy! Seth was Darth Vader, Isabelle was a witch (which she called a princess witch since she was a pretty one) and Parker was a Panda bear (Isabelle wore the same Panda outfit when she was 7 months old).

Here's a photo of Isabelle's first Halloween in the Panda costume. I think she and Parker look a lot alike at this age:
And for more fun, here's a photo with Seth during his first Halloween as a Lion. My how they've grown!
